MY APPROACH

How I Work

Photo from Filipe Bastos (1).jpg

In my work, I focus on creating a space where you can feel safe to be yourself. A space where you don't have to hide, perform, or have all the answers. I aim to meet you with warmth, curiosity, and respect.

My approach is relational, culturally sensitive, and emotionally attuned. Together, we'll look at how your past experiences shape how you think, feel, and relate to others today.

I welcome people from all backgrounds and identities, and I care deeply about equality, diversity, and inclusion. I have experience supporting clients with issues around culture, migration, gender, and identity.

Relational

The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of our work. I believe healing happens through authentic connection and mutual respect.

Emotionally Attuned

I pay close attention to both spoken and unspoken communication, creating space for emotions to be felt and explored safely.

Culturally Sensitive

I recognize that your cultural background, identity, and experiences shape who you are. I work to understand your unique perspective.

Inclusive

I welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities. Your identity and experiences are valued and respected in our work together.

UNDERSTANDING

Integrative Psychotherapy

At its core, integrative psychotherapy operates on the principle that mental health involves the whole person: your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, behaviors, and even your sense of meaning and purpose.

This means your therapist isn't focusing solely on symptoms or isolated problems. Instead, they're working with you to understand how all these different aspects of yourself interact and influence one another.

The approach recognizes that integration—becoming whole—means bringing together parts of yourself that may have been fragmented, denied, or left unresolved. It's about developing greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and the ability to engage with life and relationships with openness and authenticity.
